Interesting New Bicycle Path Along the Mekong River in Nakhon Phanom

There is an interesting new bicycle path section which runs alongside the Mekong River in Nakhon Phanom province. This newest section is just one part of the ongoing bicycle lane project launched in Nakhon Phanom in 2016.

The provincial capital of Nakhon Phanom now boasts several kilometers of cycle path running along the edge of the Mekong River in Thailand’s northeastern region.

Recently posted photos on social media show the newest section of the bicycle path, complete with purpose-built covered bridge, slip resistant surfacing, and reflective markers. The 375 meter covered bridge section is located close to the Thai-Laos Friendship bridge #3, located in Nakhon Phanom city.
