Supaksorn won a gold medal in the pre-SEA games cycling road competition 2017
“Kai”, Supaksorn Nantana from Thailand won a gold medal in women cycling competition at the pre-SEA Games 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Thai national cycling team members who joined the pre-SEA games 2017 consists of Puchong Sai Udomsin, Turakit Boonrattanakorn, Thanawut Saniwatee, Sarawut Sirironnachai, Settawut Yodsuwan, Nawuti Lipongyu, Supaksorn Nantana, Pannarai Rasi, Wisut Kasiyapat (team manager) and Rattapong Reonmao (bicycle mechanic).
The organization of this competition was the same as SEA games. The route of this competition was on Putajaya road at the south of Kuala Lumpur which was the exact same route as SEA games. On the 20th May 2017 was the first competition day for men and women individual mass start. The winner of men individual mass start 114 km was Mohammad Arwang from Malaysia with the finishing time of 2:39:43 hours. The second place was Nur Arman from Malaysia and the third place was Nawuti Lipongyu from Thailand with the finishing time of 2:41:08 hours.
The Thai cycling association sent two Thai women cyclists to join the women individual mass start 65 km which are Supaksorn Nantana and Pannarai Rasi. Supaksorn Nantana won a gold medal with the finishing time of 1:54:20 hours. Second place was Safa Nur Iyana from Malaysia and third place was Lee Che Lin from Singapore and Pannarai Rasi got fifth place.
