Shady Singletrack Trails at Phutthamonthon Park, Nakhon Pathom province – This park, located in Nakhon Pathom, is just on the western edge of Bangkok. The terrain is flat, but the scenery and quite retreat of the area is a welcome escape from big city Bangkok. The trails can be extremely muddy after heavy rain and should be avoided until they have had sufficient time to dry out. The nearby Utthayan Road that runs east-west is a famous training ground for Bangkok-based road cyclists. GPS location: GPS – N 13 47.009 E 100 19.057 Trail condition: Shady singletrack on relatively flat terrain with lots of turns/corners. Trail Distance: The whole area is a series of interconnected trails so you can just ride and explore until you get the distance you want. How to get there: The main entrance of Phutthamonthon Park is at the intersection where Utthayan Road leads directly to the park. From Bangkok, use Borommaratchachonnani highway to get you to Utthayan Road. Parking: There are several parking lots inside Phutthamonthon Park. Some of the parking areas close in the evening so you should either plan to leave before dark or park your car closer to the main entrance, near the big Buddha statue. Food & drinks: Bring your own food and drink as there are very few options inside Phutthamonthon Park.
