55km Pranburi Dam – Prachuap Khiri Khan Mountain Bike Trail

Route: Loop route around the Pranburi Dam in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Pranburi, and Pak Nam Pran, are located just south of Hua Hin and home to beautiful beaches, lush mangrove forests, and river estuaries. The loop route around the Pranburi Dam can be ridden clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Length: 55.7km

Configuration: Loop.

Start point: The start point of this route is a small parking area where you can unload your bike and head off across the paved dam road or gain access to the dirt path which circumnavigates the lake. The trail is mostly dirt doubletrack with rolling hills and paved portions of roads nearest to the dam itself. There are no stores at the dam so you should arrive with food and water enough to last you the entire 55 kilometer distance.

End point: Regardless of the direction you choose to ride around the lake area the dirt trail will return you to the small Start Point parking area.

Notes: If you’re planning to do the Pranburi Dam ride you should consider setting enough time aside to also visit the Pak Nam Pran area beaches or river estuary.
