I've encountered a problem recently when inflating 26" Schwalbe inner tubes.  These tubes are used in 26 x 1.50 through 26 x 2.50 tires.  Be careful when inflating these tubes as they may split if inflated too rapidly.  The split is not along the seam of the tube either but in a "clear" area of the tube.  I would suggest inflating the tire slowly allowing the tube to gently expand to the size of the tire.  It has happened to me while using a compressor as well as my Mountain Morph bike pump to inflate the tire.  My local bike shop thinks it's because the inner tube is being made to work in many different sized tires.  I've encountered no inflation related failures when giving the tube time to expand.
