I need to send a road bike domestically in Thailand and need info about companies that can do that in a safe and secure way. If anyone can recommend a transport company  I will be grateful.

Thank you...

From where to where?

Regardless of why you ride a bicycle, you arrive at your destination feeling relaxed and energized!

harnwer,

I'm not sure of your exact situation but I wanted to suggest some methods of sending a bike that I've done successfully several times in Thailand.

You can have the bike boxed up at a bike shop and then shipped via the Thai Postal service (that way you can have the item traced all of the way to its destination and even signed for when delivered). This method works great if you have sold a bike to an individual and you want verification of its delivery. Also, inside a bike box the bike will be very well protected.

Depending on where the bike needs to be sent, sometimes buying a bus ticket and taking the bike there yourself (in a box) works out nicely. That way you ensure proper handling of the box and you are the one verifying that it has been delivered to the person on the other end in good condition.

I have also had one bike shop (in my city) box up a bike and ship it to another bike shop (in the recipient's city). The bike shops have land transport contacts in Thailand that are trucks that deliver all of their bike shop supplies from the 'bigger' cities in Thailand. Every countryside bike shop gets something shipped to them via land transport trucks coming to/from Bangkok. You'll need to have the address of a bike shop in the recipient's city and the name of the recipient written somewhere on the box. Obviously, this method requires a bit of coordination with whoever you have on the other side receiving the bike from you.

Hope this info helps

harnwer,

I just sent a complete bicycle (in original box from manufacturer) via the Thai Postal system. The whole bike + box weighed 17.5 kilograms and it cost me less than 700 Baht to send using their Track & Trace method (EMS).

Hope this helps you

Best,

Ed
