I am considering running a bike hash event on 6th/7th of February- with a ride on each day. This will not be the kind of steep downhill riding, associated with Doi Suthep, although there are plenty of single track downhill sections, some steep. We need to book a minimum of 20 rooms at 1400 baht a night. The resort has around 50 rooms.
I have planned two rides, in the area south west of Chiang Mai. The area is largely hilly but the routes have very little of the steep down hills that you might expect on Doi Suthep, to the north. If you come, you can expect some great views, a variety of terrain and tracks, a river crossing, forests, heathland, rice fields, single track both up and down, some fast and technical, lots of false trails and checks.
Saturday ride is 52km with 630m climb/descent with about ¼ of the route on single tracks, lots of short cuts if you are just wanting an easy ride. We anticipate setting of at 9:30 by songthaew for a short drive south, to the start/end of the route.
I expect the Sunday ride to be around 25km, it includes some steep climbs and descents and about ¼ of the route on single track the rest on dirt roads. Ride direct from and back to resort. Check out time would be 2pm

The planned resort, Huarn Jana’ is 12km from the airport. I can organize transport if many people are arriving and departing on the same flights. I can also arrange shared rooms if you want to keep the costs down.
If you think you might be interested could you complete the form below. If we get 20 rooms this can go ahead.

Please complete this form if you are interested http://goo.gl/forms/tkOlj8zJhj
Here is the reort on Facebook- There are also many pictures on the Agoda website for Huarn Jana' https://www.facebook...273932986075160

Hope to see you there

Thanks for sharing this information Andrew. We'll certainly repost this on our EVENTS page as well as share it on our FaceBook page at www.facebook.com/bicyclethailand The link for the registration form works great, but the link for the resort is incomplete. Could you please reply below with the full link so people can get an idea of the resort. We hope to make it to this Chiang Mai Outhash. A trip up North is long overdue ;-)
