I have planned two rides, in the area south west of Chiang Mai. The area is largely hilly but the routes have very little of the steep down hills that you might expect on Doi Suthep, to the north. If you come, you can expect some great views, a variety of terrain and tracks, a river crossing, forests, heathland, rice fields, single track both up and down, some fast and technical, lots of false trails and checks.
Saturday ride is 52km with 630m climb/descent with about ¼ of the route on single tracks, lots of short cuts if you are just wanting an easy ride. We anticipate setting of at 9:30 by songthaew for a short drive south, to the start/end of the route.
I expect the Sunday ride to be around 25km, it includes some steep climbs and descents and about ¼ of the route on single track the rest on dirt roads. Ride direct from and back to resort. Check out time would be 2pm
The planned resort, Huarn Jana’ is 12km from the airport. I can organize transport if many people are arriving and departing on the same flights. I can also arrange shared rooms if you want to keep the costs down.
If you think you might be interested could you complete the form below. If we get 20 rooms this can go ahead.
