Trail: Mountain Bike Trail

Download and view the route by clicking here (.kml format)

Length: 53km

Configuration: Loop.Posted Image

Start/End point: The start and end point of this ride is a restaurant that has a shower, so you can bring a towel and a change of clothes and get cleaned up before a post ride meal.

I was pleased to join this nice Viking Wheelers ride and especially pleased to have a few beers and a nice lunch with convivial company afterwards. It's a pretty easy ride, mostly on road but there is enough rough surface to make a mountain bike mandatory. Thanks to Finn Sørensen for organizing this great day out.

Here are a couple of pics from this ride -

Could this be described as a mountain bike trail...?

I guess it depends on how much offroad was in the route....

without doing the GPX route... I really could not say.

Regardless of why you ride a bicycle, you arrive at your destination feeling relaxed and energized!

Quite a bit of this track was actually dirt roads, not particularly single track. More doubletrack than anything else. Unfortunately, I think as of May 2015 the Viking Wheelers are no longer an organized cycling group. Their website has been offline for a while now.

The route can be downloaded and viewed on Google Earth because it is a .kml file
