After Only One Year – Where Are We?

It’s been 1 year since BicycleThailand.com appeared on the interweb. Since that time a small group of contributors have worked very hard to provide the English speaking bicycle community a website which is both useful and a little entertaining.

Looking at our stats we’ve had over 950 unique people that visit the site at least once a week and better still over 2,250 people that come to the site at least once a month. These numbers make us pretty happy because we know our articles are getting read, and that this website is something that people want.

We’ve had good growth and we cannot see any reason for it to slow down. We’ve had several new contributors come onboard who are the lifeblood of the site; without them the content would dry up and the site would become stale. We would like to point out that we are always looking for more contributors who are interested in providing articles, photos, and videos to the site.

To cap off this short post we would like to boast a little about our Alexa ranking. Everyone knows this ranking system is not the be all and end all of a website, but it’s nice to see how one site fairs against other sites in a similar marketplace.

We’ve chosen a collection of cycling websites that are based around cycling here in Thailand. We’re sorry if your website is not included on this list as we felt it was necessary to cut the list off at the 20 million mark.

As you can see BicycleThailand.com is ranking in second place, behind the long-standing and well deserved first rank position of Spiceroads.com website. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our contributors, readers, advertisers and forum users for helping us to achieve this rank.
